To get the book published in will cost 5k Canadian dollars.

Here is the thing on a good year starting out you will make 5k

Now you also have to add advertizing costs a minimum of $290 a week to advertise only through facebook and around the same for google ads if you are looking for more than just USA and Canada

If you get a loyal fan base you can make 35k a year after ten years of self publishing

So you can see now why word of mouth is the most important thing and how do you grow when no one knows?

So there are some confronting issues.

1, how do I come up with 5k Canadian dollars and not take away from my childrens needs?

2. how do I gain a fanbase out of thin air?

3. Can I get funding to start? probably not without an existing fan base

4. When to advertise, in what countries, and how much do I put into it?

5. is it really worth trying for a publisher? My books aren't exactly mainstream material more johnny darko following

6. How much time do I have to put into this with a 3 year old and an almost 1 year old? I have 5 books already written and two more that I am dying to have the time to write.

7. If there is one thing I have learned no one is there to help, if you ask them to you will lost that friend.

8. to writing a story that all ties together is so complexing for the smallest detail and the sound of a baby crying I lose all train of thought.

If there is one thing I have learned these last couple of month between blogger, facebook, twitter, youtube, google plus, and my wix home page. It's a slow climb and I think I only have had 30 visitors out of 50 since the rest were me checking out how it looked on wix and maybe 12 to youtube. I bet if i fell off a later or jumped off my roof I would get more hits faster then the way I am doing it. So sometimes being broke and taking things slow gives you a way better perspective of how it all works. After all, I am still not sure what I am doing this all for? I like my story, i like the hidden message I have left in at and the obvious ones. Perhaps it's also a way to explain things that are hard to say in person?
