My favorite version of the yin yang is the Korean one. There were two brothers that ruled the world. One was evil and the other good. The Good brother no matter how good he was always had a trace of evil in him and the evil brother always had some good in him. I tried to add this into my story.
The Tao way is not as such although it imbrasses the good and evil in different ways.
The tao's way of the yin yang is masculine and feminine and I like to use my experience on a farm to explain that one. There are some actions that you must be like the yin or a female and other actions you must be like the yang male.
Death is the winter it gives the field time to rest as all is dead.
Then spring is the new life
In spring you must be like the Yang and tear into the soil to plant the seed. The male action
Then you must be like the yin and nurture, care for and fertilize/feed the seed.
To protect the young plant you must take on the Yang again and tear out all of the weeds that would kill your young plant.
The act of harvesting is again the yang as you tear out or away the fruit of your labour.
Again you are now the yin that takes the seed before death clams the land again and you hold those seeds for the new spring.
In life you cannot always use muscle or money to solve all of your problems, sometimes you must take a step back before you can take anymore forward.
Although it is best to look for the peaceful answer first. Sometimes you must let the generals do what they are there in life to do.
So do not try to replace the executioner, but do not stand in his way as well.
